Addon Module Installations
Zen Cart has hundreds of addon modules available, and almost every Zen Cart store will probably want one or two addon modules added either for extra function reasons or for specific purposes relating to their shop.
Module installation difficulty ranges from easy to tricky, and not all modules play nicely with each other so if installing yourself then to avoid site loss and downtime ensure you back-up your website and database first.

HTML Editor
Since Zen Cart no longer has a built in HTML editor in the default distribution it’s likely that most stores will want to incorporate one in order to add creative content to pages and products rather than plain text. CK Editor is an nice HTML editor for Define Pages, Products and EZ Pages and is a highly recommended addition to any online store.

URI Mapping (SEO)
URI Mapping is another highly useful module. This module converts store product URL’s to nice humanly readable words rather than the default SQL index like http://yourstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=11
URI Mapping will turn that into a URL like http://yourstore.com/myproductdescription which is descriptive of the item being sold and should figure well in search engine searches getting your store more clicks and therefore increased sales…
